It was a difficult chance, but Ward said he should have held on.

Ward has said he will work from within to try to change the club's policies.

Ward said he would take up his concerns with league officials after the season.

"My job has been the same since high school," Ward said.

"It comes down to the last play, but that is not our problem," Ward said.

He seemed to find something disturbing in what Ward had said.

"I think my family was hurt more than anything else," Ward said.

"I have no knowledge of that," Ward said last night.

"I was just trying to make a play," Ward said.

"Last year he kind of played a role," Ward said.
