"I had heard reports that changes were not being made," Ms. Snow says.

Just the same, its management considered Ms. Snow, 34, a star and had been planning to promote her as such.
"For chronic conditions, the drugs are a real problem," Ms. Snow said.
Ms. Snow reminded her boss again, and the woman was noncommittal.
