"Bob suggested we breed to Elusive Quality," Pat Chapman said.

"Everyone in Kentucky was so nice to us that this became a difficult decision," Pat Chapman said.

"We got to thinking about it," Pat Chapman said.

So are his owners, Roy and Pat Chapman.

In 2007 it became known as Pat Chapman's Curry Club.

At an early age, Pat Chapman had been taught to cook Indian food by his grandmother.

"It's been an incredible journey," Pat Chapman said.

Pat Chapman's Curry Club has a membership of several thousand.

"I'm sorry if it casts any negative light in any direction," Pat Chapman said when asked about the couple's change of heart.

Pat Chapman's first Good Curry Guide was published in 1984.
