The house was built in 1770 and was originally surrounded by fields and pasture overlooking Quincy Bay.

It is located on Quincy Bay, part of Boston Harbor.

The 1/2 acre Hangman Island is barely visible right in the middle of Quincy Bay.

It also abutted Dorchester Bay, Quincy Bay, and the Neponset River.

In January, the center moved to another unused elementary school - the last one the district has - on the other end of the Quincy Bay.

It is located on the shore of Quincy Bay at the entrance to the Hough's Neck peninsula.

In 1939, a legislature committee found that Quincy Bay and Hingham Harbor were "revolting" and "in violation of all public health requirements."

The result was that Boston Harbor and Quincy Bay became severely polluted.

Quincy Bay, within city limits to the northeast, is part of Boston Harbor and Massachusetts Bay.

Located on the western shore of Quincy Bay, Wollaston Beach is the largest Boston Harbor beach.
