In 2008, he played for the Quad Cities River Bandits, hitting .238 with 13 stolen bases in 95 games.

The River Bandits are currently affiliated with the Houston Astros.

"This is one of the most beautiful baseball stadiums in the country," said Jim Wehmeier, general manager of the River Bandits.

Woodstock is also home to the River Bandits of the Valley League.

The first games were not played until April 9, when the Kernels swept a doubleheader from the River Bandits, 5-4 and 3-0.
