In those meetings, Senator Johnston said, he has strongly urged them to support his son's candidacy.
Senator Johnston has told the President not to bother lobbying him until he has had a chance to study the result.
"It's particularly bad for my state," Senator Johnston said.
But it did not give the same exemption for ordinary independent power production plants, as Senator Johnston has now proposed.
