The segment between Scott Circle and Sheridan Circle gained the nickname "Millionaires' Row".

Previously, the embassy had been housed in a mansion farther south, at Sheridan Circle and 23rd Street, N.W.

As they rounded Sheridan Circle in Embassy Row at 9:35 am EDT, an explosion erupted under the car, lifting it off the ground.
