The creature shown on the cover is Hedorah from the 1971 Toho film Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster.

The film was released in April 1972 by American International Pictures under the title Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster.

Hedorah's actions soon gained the attention of Godzilla, who attacked the Smog Monster as he was feeding off of a smokestack.

The Smog Monster and the Sea Monster are then knocked out by a blast of Godzilla's atomic ray.
