A few steps away at the Sutton Theater on East 57th Street, Ms. Fawcett was asking reporter-like questions of an executive from the cable channel TNT.

Although there used to be several movie houses on the street, the only public one remaining is the Sutton Theater (205 East 57th) near Third Avenue, housed in a former 1917 bank building.
