Harker Hall underwent extensive restoration in 1992 and is home to the University of Illinois Foundation, a non-profit organization that is responsible for the fund raising effort for the University of Illinois system.

He had spent the previous 26 years at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, leaving as associate chancellor for development and vice president of the University of Illinois Foundation.

He is a Director of the University of Illinois Foundation and the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, and is the Chairman of the Board for the American Agora Foundation.

I chose to focus my giving on the University of Illinois Foundation.

He was a trustee of the Richard D. Irwin Graduate School of Management at American College in Pennsylvania, the University of Illinois Foundation and the Glenwood School for Boys.

He has also served on the boards of the University of Illinois Foundation, the Chicago History Museum, and the Ravinia Festival.

The building was constructed in cooperation with the University of Illinois Foundation, which secured funding for the construction through a $525,820 Public Works Administration grant and a $656,000 loan which was later repaid through student fees [1].

The Grainger Engineering Library was dedicated on the 59th anniversary of the University of Illinois Foundation, October 14, 1994.
