Vulcan Ventures now owns 2.45 million Precision Systems shares, which closed up 75 cents yesterday, at $13.25, in Nasdaq trading.

It was part of the sale to Paul Allen's Vulcan Ventures in 2001.

It later was owned by Paul Allen's Vulcan Ventures.

It was known as Vulcan Venture in Europe.

A spokesman for Vulcan Ventures did not return telephone calls.

Mr. Allen, through his Vulcan Ventures, is a powerful force in new media and other technology companies.

A Priceline spokesman said he had learned only recently that Vulcan Ventures had sold its interest.

His investment company is called Vulcan Ventures.

Vulcan Ventures also owns Charter Communications, a cable company based in St. Louis.

They had no comment on the decision by Vulcan Ventures.
