In 1946 Jackson joined the Saddler's Wells Ballet in London.

In 1955 and 1956 he also conducted the Sadler's Wells Ballet.

Bruce was transferred to the Sadler's Wells Ballet in 1956.

Sir Donald served his theatrical apprenticeship as general manager of Sadler's Wells Ballet from 1941 to 1945 and began presenting plays in 1953.

In 1948 he moved to the Sadler's Wells Ballet, but returned to the Theatre Ballet four years later.

These events forced the company to begin touring the country, becoming known as the Sadler's Wells Ballet.

"I was happily dancing with the Sadler's Wells Ballet and just beginning to 'come up' with the company," she began.

The ballet became part of the Sadlers' Wells Ballet's regular repertoire during the mid-50s.

It was revived by Sadler's Wells Ballet from 1965-67, 1972-77 and in the 1980s.

Later she danced with Sadler's Wells Ballet.
