The station was reopened by the new West Somerset Railway on 28 August 1976.
When purchased from the West Somerset Railway, it was little more than a shell.

The site also included a turntable which is now in the possession of the West Somerset Railway.

In 2012 the house was used as a location for ghost hunting and special excursions were run by the West Somerset Railway to the building.
It was later sold to a private owner and moved to the West Somerset Railway.
It is currently owned by the West Somerset Railway.
