Franklin joined the Wollongong Hawks for the 2007/08 season.

He joined the Wollongong Hawks for the 2007/2008 season as a development player.

He has played in 120 games for the Wollongong Hawks averaging 1.4 points per game.

For the 2008-09 season, he moved to the Wollongong Hawks where he has become an important play maker for them over the years.

He also pulled down a career best 15 rebounds against the Wollongong Hawks in Round 21.

The following season he became the 1st assistant coach with the Wollongong Hawks for the next two years.

During the 2006-07 season the Razorbacks finally broke a 20 game losing streak against the Wollongong Hawks.

He was with the Wollongong Hawks in the 2007/08 season but was injured, returning for the 2008/09 season.

However the Crocodiles would be defeated by the Wollongong Hawks in the deciding game three of the grand final series.

The Breakers lost their preseason series with the Wollongong Hawks 1-2.
