The council serves 40,500 girl members and 11,000 adult volunteers.

Post 53 also has about 25 adult volunteers.

Guide Leaders are adult volunteers aged 18 or over.

More than 538,000 adult volunteers are involved in 4-H programs nationwide.

And more than 650,000 adult volunteers serve as teachers and leaders nationwide.

It has 12,000 young people, and over 3000 adult volunteers.

As of the 2009 membership year, membership for the Council is 90,000, including 63,000 girls and 27,000 adult volunteers.

So, one of the issues I think is to encourage more adult volunteers by breaking down bureaucracy.
