But the campus paper still runs the show, with some 70 student writers and editors keeping the content at ground level.

In this category, the University Times was competing against mainstream publications, not just campus papers.

"Some people wonder why we worry about a campus paper, but they do compete in some key areas of the business, including for our readers' time."
