In 1967, the U.S. Office of Education approved a grant for the institution to receive campus renovations and updates.

In 2002, the school undertook a major campus renovation with plans for the replacement of the Tate Duff Memorial gymnasium.

In January 2009, Green and his family gave an additional gift of $10 million to ORU for campus renovations.

Emory also invested $1 billion dollars in campus renovation including a new standalone performing arts center, and a residential complex for students.

As the 15th president of the institution, Plough oversaw an aggressive eight-year Centennial Campaign that raised over $33 million for campus renovations and construction.
