These lines, excepting the one near the summit, which is strong throughout, are best developed on the early whorls.
The early whorls are well rounded, the later ones almost flattened.
The surface is marked by weak axial ribs that are mostly shown in the earlier whorls.
Nodules are either absent or die out in early whorls.
The last mentioned of these is especially so on the earliest whorls.
On the earlier whorls there are only 3 spirals.
They also can overlap the earlier whorls such that they may be largely or wholly covered by the later ones.
Ribs are narrow but prominent in the early whorls, becoming thick and strong in the later.
The early whorls have a light yellow color.
The early whorls can appear translucent and show a brownish blue color beneath.
