Augustine Bryan (died 1726) was an English classical scholar, known for his edition of Plutarch's Lives.
Butler published his original edition of his Lives, many successors have revised and updated the work.
An edition of Walton's Lives, by G Sampson, appeared in 1903.
His chief study for many years was hagiography, and he published an edition of Butler's Lives of the Saints (Leuven, 1828-35).
