A professor of entrepreneurial studies at Case Western Reserve University co-authored a new report showing "policy uncertainty" created by Democratic-controlled Washington is hurting small business growth and job creation.

At least 500 colleges offer one or more courses in entrepreneurial studies, up from 240 in 1990 and just 80 in 1979, according to George Washington University's Center for Family Enterprise.

Babson not only teaches entrepreneurial studies but also teaches professors from other schools to do so.

Fabian Monds' research interests include telecommunications and entrepreneurial studies.

People talk about overnight successes," said Julian E. Lange, an associate professor of entrepreneurial studies at Babson College in Wellesley, Mass. "But they are rare.

"We're celebrating our 10 successful years of promoting women in business, and to mark the decade, we decided to give something back to communities to help further entrepreneurial studies," said Myra I. Packman, the group's president.

But while it cuts back some programs, Howard is adding others, including centers for international affairs, urban affairs, entrepreneurial studies and Islamic studies.

In May 2008, the $15,000 Edward L. Romero Scholarship program was established for graduate students in entrepreneurial studies.

Such programs include: bachelors in accounting, marketing, business administration, entrepreneurial studies and finance and economics.

The Center creates exciting opportunities for internationally competitive entrepreneurial studies, enhanced commercialization of faculty research, and coordinated support for entrepreneurship, business, development, and job creation.
