Streetscapes/The Heinsheimer Mansion Correction: August 11, 1996, Sunday A photograph of the Louis Heinsheimer mansion in Far Rockaway, Queens, with the Streetscapes column last Sunday carried an erroneous credit.

WPTR did much the same, except that the erroneous credit went to someone named J.W. Wagner.

A picture caption on Monday with an obituary of the artist Sol LeWitt carried an erroneous credit for one of the photographs shown.

Coleman's association with these verbal slips is so strong that he is often given erroneous credit for the earliest example specifically referenced as a Colemanball; in fact the broadcaster responsible was fellow BBC commentator Ron Pickering.

The picture also carried an erroneous credit.

Correction: June 30, 2006, Friday An obituary on June 7 about the keyboard player Billy Preston included an erroneous credit.

An annotated list of films in the New Season issue on Sept. 8 included an erroneous credit for Matthew Bright, director of "Ted Bundy," which opened on Sept. 13.
