The coat of arms of Wolverhampton Council was granted on 31 December 1898, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the council.

Since the foundation of the council in 1973, the district council has consisted of Liberal Democrat and Conservative councillors, with a small number of Independents.

Of such was the foundation of the newly formed four-power council.

A set of rules and regulations were drafted by the federal commissioner in 1938 which became the foundation of the tribal council of the present Navajo government.
