The station was then closed by that company some seven years later, although freight continued to pass through the disused station until 1952.

Steam-hauled freight continued into the early 1960s.

Logging and freight continued but this started disappearing.

The line's passenger service was officially shut down in June 1964, but freight continued until the late 1990s.

Local freights continue to work the line on either side of the closed area.

Even with the closure of steelmaking operations at Shotton in March 1980, freight continued to use the line through the station until 20 April 1984.

The station lost its passenger services on 6 July 1935, although freight continued.

While freight on the line continued until 1965, passenger service dropped off as a result of San Pedro via Dominguez.

The daily freight continued to run on the other days of the week sans passenger wagon.
