Cover the points and seal the glass with additional glazing compound.

A.You can fill them in with either a glazing compound or a caulking compound.

Inspect all the glazing compound around each pane of glass on the inside window and replace any that is cracked or missing.

Metal windows may have removable clips beneath the glazing compound.

To install replacement glass in sashes requiring glazing compound, first seal the surface of the recess.

Cover the points or clips and seal the glass with additional glazing compound applied in a wider and thicker ribbon than before.

Fit the glass in place next, by pressing it against the glazing compound.

Make sure the wood is perfectly dry, then prime with oil paint before installing the new glazing compound.
