Formerly four apartment buildings built in the 1920's, the new condominiums are the product of a $4.5 million gut rehab begun a year ago.

The gut rehab on the building, paid for by the city, is costing $261,148.

"And this was to be the only gut rehab."

It also took a total gut rehab of a high-rise building that had stood empty for 20 years.

Of those units, 16,000 are gut rehab and the rest moderate renovations done in occupied buildings.
