The inmates said the light had made it impossible for them to sleep.

Says one inmate:' I don't think it takes much to become a prison officer.

"You always think someone should at least say something," one inmate said.

But many inmates say the penalties had little influence on them.

"I feel that maybe some women might look at me as less than a man," said one inmate.

One inmate said he had a bad temper and wanted to learn how to control it.

Keep this up, inmates say, and people will stop wanting to come.

"I told them to introduce themselves to you," one inmate said.

The other inmate said he told him to be patient.
