He moved to Buffalo in 1835 and formed a law partnership.

He was at that time in a law partnership known as Binner & Caley.

He opened a successful law partnership in Jerusalem.

He left his law partnership in 1995 to become the city manager of Miami Beach.

Shortly thereafter, he formed a new law partnership with David Golden.

Following the war he moved to Red Deer where he established a law partnership.

After leaving office, he continued his law partnership and died on September 23, 1854.

Fish then joined a law partnership in DeLand, and from 1904 to 1910 served as a judge.
