Why not keep them in their place and leave things the way they are?

I didn't want to leave a son of mine the way my father had left me.

I left the way I'd come and began walking back to town.

I really didn't want to leave things the way they were between us.

I'm certainly not leaving here the same way I came.

It would leave the computer prepared for the years 2100, 3000, 9000 and all the way up to 9999.
