Three chamber series have chosen next Sunday afternoon for their opening recitals.

The opening recital was given by Bishop Simms.

After the fire, Wesley returned to St Giles to design the present J.C. Bishop organ of 1844 and played it at the opening recital.

He remains active as a concert organist, and gave the opening recital on the newly-rebuilt organ at Hereford Cathedral in 2005.

Playing the opening recital is the Kalichstein/Laredo/Robinson Trio.

The opening recital begins with No. 1 and goes on to No. 18 and the "Hammerklavier."

The opening recital at 8 p.m. on Aug. 1 the pianist Agustin Aneivas is featured.
