Hardened Finishing Nails: Threaded to increase their holding power, these are called paneling nails.

When the finish is dry, nail the baseboard lightly into place with annular-ring paneling nails about 1 1/2 inches long.

You'll need a hammer, colored paneling nails (they should be about the same shade as the cedar), a nailset, a trim saw and a miter box, a caulking gun with a cartridge of construction adhesive, a level, a chalk line and a ruler or steel tape.
