My 9-year-old daughter, Zoe, fell in love with the world of the eccentric little pocket monsters more than a year ago.

This energetic 90-minute film is, however, an opportunity to observe many of the pocket monsters (that's what Pokemon is short for) in action.

It is known as Pocket Monsters in Japan.

They were affected by watching a television program featuring popular cartoon figures called Pokemon, or Pocket Monsters.

A trainer usually captures a pokemon by sending one of his own pocket monsters (they're not, by the way, pocket-size) into a match.

In Japan, Pocket Monsters: Red and Green were the first versions released.

The network also plans to make a splash from Sept. 6 to 11 with "Poke-thon," a countdown of the Top 20 pocket monsters.
