In the fourth-grade exam, fewer than half of the students, or 41 percent, were deemed proficient in language arts literacy, while 44 percent were proficient in mathematics and 52 percent proficient in science.

In the eighth-grade exam, 43 percent were proficient in mathematics, and 71 percent proficient in language arts literacy.

Schooldigger.com ranked the school 240th out of 367 public high schools statewide in its 2009-10 rankings which were based on the combined percentage of students classified as proficient or above proficient on the language arts literacy and mathematics components of the High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA).

A breakdown by race showed that 88 percent of the state's white students and 91 percent of all Asian students scored advanced or proficient in language arts literacy as against 55 percent of black students and 65 percent of all Hispanics.
