"My father would push me to do it, as everyone pushes their kids, which I don't agree with," he says.

I don't know if it's the right thing to do - push your kids into something and then stay on them until they do it.

The captions over the film read: "Are you pushing your kids in the wrong direction?"

It's not a lot different than people who are pushing their kids too far in little league.

"That was what pushed our kids to ask for a forensic club," he said.

"We have never pushed our kids to pick our lifestyle," John said.

"And I'm the one who tried to push my kids out of show business."

Before the 1980's, parents knew racism existed, but they pushed their kids to excel.

"I think we have an opportunity to push our younger kids," Paterno said.

It was a lot harder than most people would push their kids or anyone else.
