Then she blinked her eyes open, and saw Roarke.

Blinking, her brain still musty, she sat up and saw Roarke at the controls.

Then she walked into her office and saw Roarke.

It was so rare to see Roarke taken by surprise, she nearly laughed.

She knew her heart shouldn't have jolted when she saw Roarke.

"I told you to go on home," she said when she saw Roarke waiting for her.
