The universe of e-book publishers and vendors is rapidly emerging, and until the industry is settled sales of e-books will not be weighted.
Senior executives with Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc., the Wall Street firm that collapsed earlier this week, held high-level meetings yesterday with a number of banking officials who have been balking at settling sales of securities by Drexel in the last few days, people who were briefed on the talks said.
