"I think it's a good system," said Steven Miller, 19, a sophomore majoring in medieval studies.

But some students, like Marieke Brouwer, a sophomore majoring in biology, say the issue has been blown out of proportion.

He is also a sophomore at Drexel University, majoring in architectural engineering, and the only black on the national team.

"A total ban on smoking is very wrong," said one nonsmoker, Brian Harrison, a sophomore majoring in English.

"This is a once in a lifetime," said Kayla Wells, a sophomore majoring in elementary education.

Miss Melzmuf was a sophomore majoring in animal science and wanted to work in veterinary medicine.

"It's a bonding experience," said John Williamson of Richmond, a sophomore majoring in economics.

"They're telling us not to plagiarize," Sumit Walia, a sophomore majoring in economics, said on his way to class this morning.

"You feel so disheartened by the whole thing," said Rebecca Zimmerman, a sophomore majoring in political science.

Clara Catoggio, a 74-year-old sophomore majoring in psychology, wants to become a counselor for other retired people.
