There is further concern with using portable classrooms in that they often tend to remain longer than planned.

But administrators expect to be using portable classrooms before it is ready.

Today, Life Education's primary schools programs are delivered using more than 90 mobile and static classrooms.

The school opened on September 5, 2000 using temporary classrooms, with an enrollment of 184 students and 25 teachers.

The college was allowed to use classrooms in the building during the week.

The town will continue to use portable classrooms at some of its elementary schools, he said.

As a result, 192 of the city's 1,100 schools share common space, using the same gymnasium, cafeteria, auditorium, library and even classrooms.

Training is offered using traditional classrooms, computer laboratories, internet based systems and on-the-job training.

The new plan, he said, would use classrooms led by master teachers to give prospective teachers more exposure to classroom life earlier in their training.
