Garrett 'GMAC' McNamara (born August 10, 1967) is an American professional big wave surfer and extreme waterman known for breaking the world record for largest wave ever surfed, surviving a monstrous wave at Jaws, and riding tidal waves from calving glaciers in Alaska.
Unofficially the biggest wave ever surfed remains Ken Bradshaw's wave at Outside Log Cabins, Oahu on January 28, 1998, at about 80 feet.
The cresting wave that first grabbed Randy surfed him forward at a frightening speed until he slipped out the back of its leading edge and sank into the deep trough at the face of the next breaker.
Sport: Corner kick genius, golf's longest putt and the most divine waves ever surfed 5.
