During once-a-day free weekday tours, visitors get a dose of both company and San Francisco history, a technical overview of the brewing art and a chance to taste beers.

From April 1 through Oct. 31, tours start on weekdays at noon, 2 P.M. and 4 P.M. (3 P.M. November and March, no weekday tours December through February).

Volunteers from the Friends of Highgate Cemetery are giving hourly tours on weekends only; others require special arrangements although the Friends hope to begin some weekday tours in April when the weather is warmer and visitors increase.
